Minister of Security Alejandra Monteoliva stated that the 'Bullrich Doctrine,' referring to her predecessor Patricia Bullrich, is 'more relevant than ever.' She expressed this in an interview with 'Esta Mañana' on Radio Rivadavia: 'The Bullrich Doctrine is more relevant than ever, and its continuity is guaranteed. We had a legal framework with all the instruments to strengthen and consolidate the work that must continue over the next two years, with strong challenges on the borders, in the Waterway and the Bioceanic Corridor as strategic priorities of the management.' In another part of the interview, Monteoliva recounted her experience in Colombia: 'I lived there for 19 years, where kidnapping was commonplace.' Today's challenges against organized crime are more complex than 10 or 20 years ago. We worked together on all these strategic and tactical definitions.' I had many clashes over situations that were part of the work being done. The dynamics of criminal organizations have changed, the context has become more complex, and the challenges for police forces are different,' she concluded. 'I was never a desk official.' There were minimal changes, except for people who accompanied Patricia Bullrich to the Senate, but we have a synchronized operational routine, and that is of great value,' added the new national official. According to Monteoliva, who was the Secretary of Security during Bullrich's last administration, she indicated that there was 'not the slightest trauma in the transition because it was a continuity' and continued: 'In these two years of management, we have built the institutional framework.' In the years I lived there, 80,000 kidnappings were recorded. 'The teams remain.'
